What writer in the early 21st century hasn’t started a blog at least once? Since my early teens, I have always obsessed over the idea of sharing my thoughts – in a space that is all mine. I’ve started and closed so many WordPress accounts that I’ve truly lost count, at this point, it’s only a question, of when will this one close too? But I’ve put too much effort into this blog to give up any time soon.

So here is my millionth hello; my millionth apology for doing it again; and my millionth promise of I will keep it up this time!

Maybe one of the reasons I have created so many different WordPress sites is because I never really knew what it was I wanted to write about. I had thoughts, silly fifteen-year-old thoughts of fame and influence, that I seemed to think were important enough to share. Now, as a twenty-two-year-old, I still have thoughts that I think are important enough to share.

Truthfully, this isn’t even the first place I ever thought of recording the things that revolve in my mind. I’ve started (and then immediately privated) a YouTube account, I’ve kept diaries for the last almost six years, I’ve written books and stories to help make sense of the ramble in my noggin, and I’ve worked hard on sharing all things book related on my Instagram. This blog, I think, is an excuse to share more openly and vulnerably the things an Instagram caption can’t quite capture. The random day-to-day thoughts of what makes up me, the in-depth discoveries I’m making about writing and the world of publishing.

Having a Masters in Creative Writing certainly doesn’t make me an expert in the art of writing. I’ve not even published anything, for goodness sake! But – what I do know, is that my love for the written word has only grown exponentially over the years, and I’m at a point where I will take any excuse to write. I want this blog to be nothing more than a dumping ground, pieces of me for you to chew on, although, maybe a dumping ground is too violent an image.

I want this blog to be a place where I can sow seeds of thought, ideas, theories, discoveries; a place where I can look back in a few years ago, and think to myself wow, I have grown so much. Look at all the things that consumed me.

So come along for the ride, I guess? Bear with me as I navigate WordPress (it’s not always the most user-friendly…) and let’s dream, think and unveil stories together.
