Hi there! My name is Rūta Grainytė, and I am a Lithuanian-born, British-raised writer and teacher: two very time-consuming jobs! I have always been obsessed with literature and truly found my voice during lockdown in 2020 when I finished my first ever book – and I haven’t looked back. Alongside teaching full-time, I have just received my Masters in Creative Writing, a true time of exploration and practice. Writing is cathartic and a way of finding my way through this muddled world. Over the years, I’ve written many short stories, books, and extracts; read them here!
There are many things that make up the person I am; a Jesus-lover, cat-mom and coffee-addict. Is that a stereotypical writer? Maybe and I’m not ashamed of it! Bring on Christ, cats and caffeine.
