Rūta Grainytė is a Lithuanian-British author of young adult fantasy. From a young age, Rūta has loved reading stories that make her forget the real world and now, she endeavours to bring that same joy to her readers through her writing. She has a Masters degree from the University of Reading in Creative Writing which was a time of exploration, discovery and practice.

When she’s not creating worlds, Rūta can be found nerding out over Star Wars with her husband, drinking absurd amounts of coffee and dreaming about future feline friends.

Her debut novel, Sheathed publishes in October 2026.
